Bloomington-Normal YMCA Falcons Parent Board will provide vital support to our swimmers, parents, and coaches by fostering engagement, ensuring financial health, and enhancing the overall team experience. By focusing on sponsorships, fundraising, and developing a core group of trained officials, the parent board will strengthen the Falcons program both competitively and financially. Drawing on proven practices from other successful swim team parent boards, this structured and sustainable organization will help the Falcons excel in the pool and thrive as a part of our community.
Raise funds for swim meets, travel, equipment, and scholarships Organize volunteers for swim meets, events, and concessions. Promote open communication between parents, coaches, and athletes. Build connections with alumni and the broader community. Support team social events, recognition programs, and award ceremonies. Maintain transparency in all financial and organizational activities. Strive to have at least 10% of our team trained and serving as certified officials. Get out of the RED financially—we need sponsorships and additional help with fundraising to support the program
